ABC Radio Network

Music Assistant has support for the ABC Radio Network which allows easy addition of their radio stations to Music Assistant. Contributed and maintained by Gavin

The ABC is Australia’s public broadcaster, funded by the government and free of advertising. Alongside its news and talk networks it runs a set of music stations, from triple j for new and Australian music through to ABC Classic, ABC Jazz, ABC Country and a channel just for young children - Kids Listen.

This source adds the eight ABC music stations to Music Assistant as radio stations. You would use this provider over another if you want artist and track name information as well as album art.

Use the browse view or search to find stations to add to the library.

Known Issues / Notes

• Track details are shown while music is playing. During talk programmes, live broadcasts and news there is no track to show, so the station name is displayed instead
• Now playing information updates periodically so may lead or lag actual
• The ABC’s now playing service occasionally returns nothing for a moment. Playback carries on and the details are picked up at the next update
